AUGUST ARRIVES
Ahh, August, what do you have to offer? There's no special holiday to celebrate within your days. The sun sizzles as sweltering folks gather at pools to cool down. Fans and A/C's continually run causing electric bills to soar. Pets seek cool areas to pass the long hot days and nights. However, in spite of it being the “dog days of summer”, parents and students are shopping for school clothes and supplies as teachers prepare for another school year. Football teams, cheerleaders, and bands begin practice, hoping for a winning season. Perhaps, August offerings are of great value for we are provided a time to share and prepare for the months ahead; a time to spend final vacation days with family and friends; and a time to just relax and enjoy the days before the school bells ring.
AUGUST NOTES AND REMINDERS
August Happenings: (1) The monthly residents meeting is scheduled for 9:30 a.m. on August 2nd. Come join us as we plan next month's activities. (2)Gaslight Theater presents Foxfire on August 14th. (3) Neighbor Awareness Week is August 16th through August 20th. (4) New Resident Social and Birthday Party will be on August 20th at 3 pm. Come meet your new neighbors and celebrate with residents celebrating their special day in August. (5) Building Leaders Meeting at 3:30 p.m. on August 31st.

Keep Cool: Don't forget to change your A/C filter. It's important during these hot days to keep a clean filter so the cooling system will efficiently function. Filters are available for you at the office. If you prefer, the maintenance staff will be happy to change it for you. Also, let the office promptly know if you have any problems with your A/C unit so it can be checked
